CRISTINA LINASSI
VENETIAN STYLIST
THE FOUNDER
A Venice native, Cristina Linassi is the creative director of the Venetian luxury atelier “Cristina Linassi – Venezia”. Educated at the University of Ca’ Foscari – Venice, she got her degree after writing a university publication on the history of Costume between XIX and XX centuries and its connections the the feminine characters in the literature of that time. Soon after she launched her eponymous label’s first collection in Venice in 1995 after being an intern in the family fashion shop.
Her label, known for its refined nightwear inspired by American cinema of the 50’s and 60’s soon earned style icons such among which we mention Emma Thompson, Prince Amyn Aga Khan, Italian fashion stylist Laura Biagiotti, Laura Pausini and others.
In a design capacity, Cristina Linassi boasts a dedicated international following for the ultra-feminine and ethereal nightdresses and gowns. With a nostalgic aesthethic, Cristina Linassi’s night lingerie is known for her view on beauty that controverts modern notions of glamour.
Crediting the experience with her in-depth education and passion (ask her about her archive-collection of ancient laces!), a Cristina Linassi nightgown is known for its exceptional cut and innovative use of textile and lace.
Alongside the luxury night lingerie, she also expanded into home fashion establishing a strong, commercially successful DNA for her namesake luxury brand. Contemporary yet magical, the home linen designed by Cristina Linassi have channelled since the very beginning the social and cultural imprint of Venetian heritage in modern creations of polished sophistication.
As a matter of fact, throughout her longstanding career, Cristina Linassi has played – and still do – a significant role in promoting Venetian culture and business.
